I’ve given you the basic information to act. Now, let me tell you why I’ll be taking action to attend this conference and why I think you should too.

I have attended this conference every year since its inception in 2008. During my career as an attorney, I’ve supported all dimensions of retirement plans, both private and public, including operations, sales, project management, marketing and procurement and have done so in a variety of settings, including a financial services company, a TPA firm and a private law firm. Regardless of the role or setting I’ve been in at any one point, I have always come away from the conference with practical, useful information I could immediately take back to work and apply.

This year, I’m particularly looking forward to attending the sessions on the latest trends and regulatory guidance affecting cybersecurity, MEPs and missing participants. I’m also looking forward to the opportunity to share thoughts with my industry colleagues about the impact of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals vacating of the DOL Fiduciary Rule and whether we will see a new and different perspective from the DOL on interpreting the resurgent five-part test for determining fiduciary status.

In addition to enjoying the conference, I plan to arrive early and take advantage of some of the great events going on in Cincinnati the weekend before the conference. Join me at the Cincinnati Coffee Festival (11:00 am to 4:00 pm) and the Arts on Vine at Rhinegeist (12:00 pm to 7:00 pm), both taking place on Nov. 10 and 11. In between these events, you can attend the Cincinnati Bengals vs. New Orleans Saints football game on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1:00 pm. More information on these events and other things to do in Cincinnati can be found at https://cincinnatiusa.com/things-to-do/all.

I look forward to seeing you in Cincinnati.
