Description:  Even if you already have your Ethics CE credit you won’t want to miss this engaging session!  We will explore recent ethical scandals in the real world to determine what we can learn from these events as they relate to our practice.  For example, what does the college admissions scandal teach us about ignoring potential consequences?  How can we learn to address problems as they arise and avoid a Boeing Max scandal?

With a number of retirement specific case studies we will explore the difficult scenarios that test our professionalism and our ethical standards.  How do we take accountability for mistakes that are made and right the wrongs?  Together we will discuss the relevant issues and determine the optimal course to provide resolution.

Learning Objectives

  1. Apply appropriate business ethics to previous and potential lessons.
  2. Interact with other professionals to hear additional perspectives on ethical challenges.
  3. Discuss best practices for demonstrating professionalism, courtesy and respect.
