Description: Do you run away from clients subject to FAS/ASC? Or do you always phone a friend to take on the client for you? For pension actuaries that focus on small Plans, many of us either lose touch with the FAS/ASC accounting rules or perhaps were never familiar with them to begin with. This session will refresh our minds on the basic components of ASC 715-20 and -30 Expense & Disclosure. It will cover when special accounting events can occur and strategize how best to deal with them. Have a FAS/ASC question? Bring your questions with you and ask the expert.

Speaker Bios: Justin has 20 years of retirement plan industry experience with both large corporate employee benefit firms and small boutique TPA firms. He has worked and consulted with clients ranging from large corporations to small businesses helping them achieve their financial goals. Justin founded Fidus is 2014 and currently focuses on providing third-party actuarial services to TPAs. He also serves on ASEA’s Leadership Committee, Professionalism Committee, and Webcast Continuing Education Committee.
