ASPPA Webcast: EACA – Automatic Enrollment Plan Update

Available until March 28, 2025

Speaker: Erin Brooks ERP, CPC, TGPC, Director of Compliance EGPS

Description: With the new automatic enrollment requirement taking effect in 2025 under SECURE 2.0, now is a great time to review the features and requirements of eligible automatic contribution arrangements (EACA) and qualified automatic contribution arrangements (QACA).  In this webinar we will discuss how the new rules under SECURE 2.0 will apply, and the EPCRS rules for correcting missed deferral opportunities when a plan has automatic enrollment.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the requirements of an EACA, including a QACA safe harbor.
  • Identify the differences in the mandated automatic enrollment versus the rules for those not subject to the mandate.
  • Apply the correction principles under EPCRS to a missed deferral opportunity.
