You’ve worked hard towards earning your ASPPA QKA credential and now you’re ready to put your knowledge to the test. ASPPA leadership is committed to ensuring our members and credential candidates are safe and have access to the resources they need to succeed.  In response to the calls to practice social distancing to stop the coronavirus ASPPA leadership has approved the temporary waiver of the proctor requirement for DC-1, DC-2, QKA1 and QKA2 online exams.

How does it work?

The DC-1 and DC-2 online exams are available for purchase on the ARA Marketplace. To take the DC-1 or DC-2 online exam all you need to do is purchase the online exam. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions of how to access the exam using the ARA My Learning Activities platform accessible from our ASPPA website and your account homepage.

Additional Questions:

Q: Why is ASPPA waiving proctor requirements for online exams?
A: Business closures and social distancing directives have made it impractical for QKA candidates to complete DC-1 and DC-2 exams at testing centers or with qualified online exam proctors.

Q: Has ASPPA changed its policy for credential exam administration?
A: No. ASPPA leadership has approved a temporary waiver of the online exam proctor requirement for designated QKA exams. This temporary waiver is in response to practical challenges created by the coronavirus. ASPPA leadership will periodically review the policy and extend or revise as appropriate.

Q: Does the online exam proctor waiver apply to QPA and CPC exams?
A: No. QPA and CPC exams are administered through Prometric testing centers. ASPPA is evaluating exam administration options for the QPA and CPC exams. We do not have a timeline for the reopening of Prometric centers or the availability of online exams for QPA and CPC at this time. If you would like to receive updates on QPA and CPC exams, please email us at [email protected].

Q: Where can I find more information about the QKA online exams and the ASPPA exam policy?
A: QKA candidates can find detailed information about the QKA program and online exams in the ASPPA QKA™ Candidate Handbook
